Organizational Development (OD) SIG: OD's Role in Driving Employee Engagement

As OD practitioners navigate this era of "the great resignation", more organizations look to OD for guidance and support in not only building and sustaining employee engagement strategic programs and initiatives. Those professionals are asking questions like: What is MY role in creating an engaged workforce? What tools and resources will I have at my disposal to help me achieve this? What NEW challenges will I face?

Kristy Davis, Employee Engagement Manager with Ethicon, Inc., will lead a discussion on creating the engaged organization using a systemic and holistic approach looking at work design, at everyday conversations between leaders and those who work with them, at what happens when we meet, at leadership behaviors, and at how change occurs in organizations. ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Kristy attended Louisiana State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 2021 she joined Ethicon, Inc. as the Employee Engagement Manager after working at UC Health for 7 years where she served as Employee Engagement Manager, Community Relations Consultant, and Media Relations Manager. As Engagement Manager, she launched the first standard survey cycle in the organization, led the development of enterprise and location-based engagement committees, and created a multi-faceted awards and recognition strategy providing employee recognition opportunities at all levels of the organization.

Kristy actively volunteers as Board Chair at Cincinnati with Opera Board Associates, the American Heart Association - American Stroke Association as The Heart Mini Young @ Heart Board Member, and Communication & Development Committee Member at The Health Collaborative.
