Chapter Dinner Meeting: How G+ Can Change Your life, Your Career, and Your Wallet

Google+ recently celebrated its 2nd birthday. Their meteoric rise in those two years has been nothing less than astounding. Poised to knock Twitter down as the #2 most popular social network, G+ is quickly becoming a powerhouse. But G+ is more than a social network. Much more.

In this lively, interactive session, we will be exploring some of the features and capabilities of G+, the most exciting of which, is Hangouts. Google+ Hangouts is a video conferencing tool that allows up to 10 people to meet together at a time, but can be expanded to reach the masses as well. The possibilities are endless: brainstorming sessions; tutoring sessions; file sharing; video sharing. All real time; all from the comforts of home (ahem, the office). Come join us as we learn about this amazing tool that can save you time and help you be more productive. Time better spent serving your students.

Participation is encouraged, so feel free to bring your laptop or tablet. We will be doing live demonstrations during the meeting. Because Hangouts requires a gmail account and a Google+ account, please be sure to have that set up ahead of time so we can focus more fully on the function of Hangouts.
